How the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy Does It
The Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy (DPEA) was created to provide students who are interested in pursuing science or engineering with the opportunity to participate in a rigorous, hands-on science and engineering curriculum. Each year, for their capstone project, DPEA students enter an international robotics competition. During this presentation, Academy Director, Amir Abo-Shaeer, and several of his students from the DPEA will discuss the engineering academy and the robot design-build process. This will be followed by a demonstration of their 150 lb. robot creation.

From the Co-Presidents: Thanks again to all whom attended May’s Science Fair winner presentations. The students once again impressed us with their award-winning projects and ambitions for the future. Please join us in June and meet more rising academic stars, this time from the Dos Pueblos HS Engineering Acadamy.
