The Technical Job Market in Santa Barbara:
Employers and Employees in a Tight Labor Market

Gary Kravetz will present the latest developments in employment in this area in the last year and predictions for next year. He will explain how the local job market has changed in the past two years and how employees and employers can adapt to this candidate-driven market. We will discuss how local companies can find the best employees, and how employees can find the best local jobs.

The high cost of housing and the growing number of technical jobs in Santa Barbara have led to a shortage of employees for local companies. This year's employment talk will include information on how companies can successfully relocate new employees to Santa Barbara. Gary will also talk about the mix of jobs that employers are seeking to fill.

Gary's company, NCC Executive Search, is in contact with the majority of technical companies in the Santa Barbara area, and is aware of their current employment plans. NCC also talks with many local technical employees who are looking for new jobs.

Also, we are still accepting contributions for our scholarship fund, and encourage you to be generous in supporting our local students.
