3D Modeling:
Making Rapid Prototypes by 3D "Printing"

Rapid Prototype Modeling uses a 3D computer model and builds a three-dimensional object, by "printing" layers of plastic-like material. Generating such parts quickly lets designers view their designs early so they can identify potential problems prior to production. Our speakers will bring samples and talk about how the process was developed, the types of processes (along with their pros and cons), and applications for rapid prototyping. They will also explain how to prepare the computer models.
