Traffic: Engineered for the Masses

When stuck in traffic, we may wonder if there is any science behind managing traffic. There is plenty! Our speaker will discuss the tools and techniques Santa Barbara City uses to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently. These include the traffic signal system, analytical tools used to set speed limits, and collision review. He will also talk about the most difficult aspect of traffic engineering--human behavior.
