Changes In The Local Technical Job Market:
What Jobs Are Hot And What Jobs Are Not
Gary Kravetz, MSEE, CA Profesional Engineer, is the CEO of NCC Executive Search, the largest supplier of technical talent on the central coast. He will be presenting the latest developments in employment in this area in the last few months. The topic will be of interest to both employers and employees.
The job market is better for some positions than it was last year for 2 reasons. More companies are hiring and less people are looking for jobs because they have either found a job (even if outside their specialty) or they have moved to a lower cost city. Even though the unemployment rate in Santa Barbara is almost as low as it was in the boom times of year 2000. The mix of unemployed professions is different than 2000. Many companies have started to fill key positions in preparation for the growth expected in year 2003. Come and learn more!
