Julian Nott, a noted explorer of our time, will describe the science and engineering involved in his 30 year career as a balloon and blimp designer and pilot. This includes experimentation with lighter than air craft, airships, and scientific balloons.
He will also share details about his current work, which includes assisting in plans to launch scientific balloons in the atmosphere of Mars, terrestrial telecommunications applications, and several other exciting endeavors.
As indicated by the title "Math Lets Dreams Take Flight®," Nott approaches lighter than air flight from a scientific and mathematical perspective, not simply as a sport and adventure.
Come and learn more!
